Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter is an American actor and producer who is well-known by her highly commendable performances in films such as Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. The film Piano was awarded an Oscar. The talented actress began her career as an actor by performing on stage, with an array of Broadway as well as Off-Broadway productions. In her early years, Helen Keller was her most loved character from a fifth class show. Mumps caused her to be deaf and blind in one ear, but she did not allow this to hinder her ambitions of becoming an actor. While in college, she took classes in theatre and later moved from Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania to New York City in pursuit of her goal. Hunter was stuck in the lift of playwright Beth Henley when she met her. They worked together to write Broadway Crimes of the Heart in which Hunter made her Broadway debut. She moved into Los Angeles and tried to find movie roles. The film, Swing Shift, she landed the role of a back-up. Over the past three decades Holly Hunter has been on many TV and film shows. Holly Hunter has a Hollywood Walk of Fame actor and won Women in Film Lucy Award.
