Holly Hunter, an American actress and film producer is well-known for her stellar performances in movies like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano The Incredibles. Her work has been recognized with numerous awards for her work, including an Oscar. Her career began acting as an actress both on Broadway and Off Broadway. As a child, Helen Keller was her most loved character from a fifth class production. The fifth grade was the year that after having mumps she lost her hearing in the left ear. But she didn't let it stop her from performing. When she was a teenager, she was a drama student in college before moving from Pittsburgh to New York City from Pittsburgh in order to pursue her ambitions. Hunter had her Broadway debut after an accidental conversation in the company of Beth Henley, a playwright. They collaborated for Broadway Crimes of the Heart. She relocated to Los Angeles and tried to land films parts. For Swing Shift, she landed a role as a support. Over the past three decades, she has appeared on many TV and film shows. Holly Hunter won a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, as well as her Women in Film Lucy Award.
